Can’t get to Vienna? Why not come to the Viennese Opera Ball in Ottawa!
Opera Lyra Ottawa is thrilled to join the Viennese Opera Ball family as one of its beneficiaries.
Mark your calendars: February 5th, 2011 at the National Gallery of Canada.
As the Ball has always been dedicated to raising funds for youth programs in the city, proceeds going to Opera Lyra will support the OLO Opera Studio, our professional training program for young opera singers.
Inspired by the cultural elegance of Vienna’s own renowned Opernball, the Ottawa event is one of only five international balls officially sanctioned by the Austrian Government. Combining the best of Austrian cuisine with a special Canadian twist, guests are offered a sumptuous dinner, exceptional wine, beautiful music and unlimited dancing! In addition to traditional introduction of debutantes and cavaliers in a wonderful demonstration of true Viennese waltzes, for the first time this year guests will be treated to a performance by two members of the OLO Opera Studio.
