In concert, one night only!
Manon is the story of a young, convent-bound girl who escapes her destiny when she falls in love with the Chevalier Des Grieux and they run away to Paris. Their love is put to the test when Manon is lured away by Brétigny, who seduces her with his wealth. A desperate Des Grieux enters the priesthood, but on the point of taking his vows, he is convinced by a repentant Manon to run away with her. When Des Grieux chances his luck at the gaming table he is arrested for cheating and Manon threatened with deportation to Lousiana on charges of immorality. On the way to the ship, she is rescued by her lover, but overtaken by consumption, dies in his arms.
