Friends Of OLO

The Friends of Opera Lyra Ottawa are community-builders who have a passion for great art in Ottawa. They are people just like you and they make opera in the National Capital Region possible through annual donations that help cover production costs and fund education programs for young artists and young audiences.

Since 1984, gifts from our Friends continue to make a real difference for opera and music lovers of all ages across Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. The financial contributions we receive supports artistic excellence in the fully-staged operas Opera Lyra Ottawa presents at the National Arts Centre, and they help us present smaller productions and events throughout your communities.

Support Opera Lyra Ottawa by renewing your Friendship or joining the Friends of Opera Lyra Ottawa today. Your donation is eligible for a charitable tax receipt and gifts of $75 are recognized in our mainstage house programs.

Friends of Opera Lyra also receive advance invitations to Opera Lyra Ottawa's annual Opera Studio Competition which offers opportunities for up-and-coming artists to sing before a panel of celebrity judges and win bursaries to help them pursue professional careers in opera.
