Legacy and Tribute Gifts are straightforward ways to support your opera company, making it possible to strengthen existing programs and to bring new initiatives to life.

Legacy Gifts
To help continue the tradition of presenting great opera in your community, please include Opera Lyra Ottawa as a benefactor in your will.  Designating a sum of money is often the simplest way to plan your estate, but gifts of life insurance and securities are just a few other ways to make a bequest to Opera Lyra Ottawa.  Your financial advisor can inform you about the multiple tax benefits each provides. 

Tribute Gifts
Tribute gifts can be In Memoriams for individuals who have passed away, or they can be made in lieu of birthday and anniversary gifts. We will send an acknowledgement letter to the family or individual as well as send you a charitable tax receipt.  Gifts of $75 or more receive printed name recognition in Opera Lyra Ottawa’s programs for mainstage operas.
